I am veterinarian with a passion for combining clinical excellence, research, and compassionate care. I have extensive experience in emergency and general practice, as well as hospital leadership, and have conducted academic research in cancer biology, sea turtle physiology, and comparative physiology at institutions including the University of Notre Dame and the University of Miami, RSMAS.

I am a graduate of Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña, and completed ECFVG certification and a five-year postdoctoral fellowship in comparative physiology. I hold active veterinary licenses in Florida, Indiana, and Hawaii, along with USDA accreditation.

Having recently returned to Indiana — where I lived for 25 years and raised my children — I enjoy the beauty of all four seasons. I have a special place in my heart for sea turtles, dogs, cats, exotic animals, and pocket pets. I share my home with a long-haired Chihuahua named Mojo, a Maltipoo named Pisco, and a Lionhead bunny named Jessica Rabbit.
